4220 - Honors Geometry... Students are expected to have mastered the skills and thoroughly understood the concepts covered in prior courses. They are expected to have retained this past knowledge, which will generally not be reviewed in the course. This class will cover aspects of regular geometry, but will place more emphasis on the study of logical reasoning, the formalizing of proofs, and on the theory of geometry. The problems involved in this class will involve a high degree of difficulty. The course will extend Euclidean geometry to include coordinate geometry, and some non-Euclidean geometry. Students will use projects, cooperative learning, and technology-based equipment.
